Self-portrait with a Toothbrush
Tim Olson was born in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1962. He studied photography and painting at Bemidji State University 1980-82, the University of Iowa 1982-84, and Loras College 2002-03. For many years he worked as a printer and technician in Chicago photography studios. Since 2002 he has exhibited photographs, paintings, prints and stained glass work throughout the United States, most recently at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles and at the Sioux City Art Center. His work has been featured in New American Paintings, issues #161 and #143. In 2022 He was a Iowa Artist Fellow. He lives in Dubuque with his wife and two children.
